The big three erectile dysfunction drugs are sildenafil citrate, taladafil, and vardenafil. The first is commonly marketed as Viagra and manufactured by Pfizer (creator of the anti-cholesterol drug Lipitor). Levitra on the other hand made very creative commercials but the US FDA were quick to point out that such commercials are misleading and inappropriate. Europeans however can watch the commercials unedited on their television sets.
As to market share, Viagra is still ahead because the other two are waiting approval in both the European and Asian markets. Many Asians and Europeans automatically associate the word Viagra with erectile dysfunction or impotency. When they want to treat their problem, they usually buy viagra online . It would take some two years or so before Asians can start buying their weekend pills and Levitras online.
