ED Is A Well Identified Outcome Of Diabetes Mellitus In Many Cases
Pre diabetes is nothing but the stage before diabetes mellitus. A person who has pre diabetes have their sugar glucose level slightly higher than the normal glucose level but it’s not much higher as in the case of diabetes mellitus. They are at higher risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Glucose is the main source of energy for the cells that make up your muscles and other tissues, Glucose is synthesis by our liver and we get also from our food.
During digestion, sugar is absorbed into the bloodstream and then normally sugar enters cells with the help of insulin. Insulin is hormone which comes from the pancreas, a gland located just behind the stomach. When we eat, the pancreas secretes insulin in to the blood stream. Insulin while entering the bloodstream acts like a key which unlocks the microscopic doors which allows the sugar to enter the cells. This lowers the amount of sugar level in the bloodstream. When the sugar level in the blood stream drops, the secretion of insulin from the pancreas also stops.
ED is a well identified outcome of diabetes mellitus in many cases might warrant treatment with Viagra and other medications.
In pre diabetes, the process decreasing the sugar level in blood doesn’t happen properly. This starts with pancreas. When the pancreas does not secrete insulin properly, there will low insulin level in blood and therefore the sugar cannot enter the cells. So these sugars remain in the bloodstream. This accumulates when lower insulin level continues. Sometimes the cells may also develop resistance to insulin which does not allow the intake of sugar. Increase in blood sugar level results in diabetes. And as increasing of sugar level occurs, there will be slight increase in the blood sugar level and this slight increase indicates that the person is pre diabetic. If this stage continues in that person, he may be a type 2 diabetic patient.
Pre diabetic person usually experience certain symptoms, which makes the person know the he is a pre diabetic patient. Pre diabetic patient will have an increased thirst, which leads to more consumption of water. When there is more consumption of water, obviously, there will frequent urination. The patient will suffer from unexplained loss of weight and he may also have sores or frequent infection which is very slow in healing.
The patient may have extreme hunger; feel fatigue and also blurred vision. Being overweight is a primary risk factor for pre diabetes. The more fatty tissues a person have the more resistance the cells become to insulin; the less active you are the greater the risk of pre diabetes. The risk of pre diabetes increases as you get older, especially after age of 45. The risk of pre diabetes increases if a parent or sibling has type 2 diabetes. Women go through a condition called as gestational diabetes when a woman is pregnant.
High blood pressure and high cholesterol content also increases the risk of pre- diabetes. Pre diabetes can be treated by choosing a healthy lifestyle choices which can help you bring your blood sugar level back to normal or at least keep it from rising towards the levels seen in type 2 diabetes.
