Usually blackjack is played with one, two, four, six or eight deck of cards. When the number of decks is less, the chance of winning the game for a player increases. A hand that contains an ace counted as 11 is called Soft hand otherwise it is Hard hand. You can hit and make the soft hand to hard hand if necessary.
Once the game begins the players can check their cards. If anyone of the players has their value to be 21, they naturally win the game. If you have a count less than 21, you can hit and deal a card using hand signals and you can make your count near to 21. If you don’t want to deal an additional card you can stand when your hand comes and wait for the dealer to disclose his hole card. If you have a pair of cards you can split it and can play two hands and the bet should be the same as before. You can also double down, which means double your first bet, if the situation favors. You can also surrender by losing your half of the bet.
